| 1. | Coordination and development of library and information services of Uva Province. |

| 3. | Organizing documentation services, assisting publication work for writers who are interested in art literary and publication work. |
| 4. | Enhance reading material and equipment, conduct exhibition, conferences and project work. |
| 5. | Conduct educational and perceptional program. |
| 6. | Preparation of schemes for recruitment and promotion of librarians and library staff for libraries in the province and conduct examination. |
| 7. | Establishment of library development fund and maintenance if it’s work. |
| 8. | Impose required provisions for all coordination activities to conduct all types of (non private) library services in the province systematically. |
